Region-wide monitoring of precipitation events is necessary for government agencies and researchers to understand and manage surface and groundwater systems. Data collection is conducted in urban and rural areas with a few automatic weather stations. Simpler rain gauges are routinely deployed to reduce the cost of telemetry but this requires time-consuming manual data collection and results in large errors due to simplistic gauge design. Our solution allows our clients to deploy rain gauges across vast areas cost effectively. To overcome issues with cellular coverage we offer low-cost satellite telemetry options allowing a denser deployment of rain gauges for better water management decisions.

Using robust, field-proven rain gauges reduces total cost of ownership by eliminating maintenance and repairs. Tipping bucket rain gauges that meet WMO standards, with different resolutions, are available based on regional requirements. In colder regions the option to include a heated rain gauge allows us to measure contributions of snow or ice to total precipitation.

Our smartphone application enables field staff to deploy pre-configured wireless rain gauges in a few steps.
